I'm a former U.S Navy Helicopter Search and Rescue Swimmer (now veteran) and I spent years conducting helicopter search and rescue missions deployed around the globe.
After I left the military, I struggled with depression, anxiety, and a service connected spinal injury that kept me in excruciating pain.
I was forced in and out of management clinics, chiropractors, psychiatrists and doctors’ offices dealing with a variety of symptoms eventually leading to a neck fusion surgery that left me with permanent nerve cell damage.
Popping anti-inflammatory pills, pain medication and everything else doctors prescribed me, I was searching for any relief.
Nothing worked.
My desperate search for any pain relief took me to the Amazon jungle where I discovered ancient healing techniques used by indigenous people of that region (Brazil and Peru) using medicinal plants, diets and ancestral practices to explore the mind-body and spirit.
I also found the Wim Hof Method using ice baths and breathing exercises as a tool for self-healing and deeper self awareness.
Using lessons and research from my journey into natural and alternative methods (studying with some of the best in their fields) I became a Wim Hof Method certified instructor teaching across the U.S and Mexico, and co-founded Optimyze, Mind, Body Breath.
I'm a teacher by nature with a master’s degree in adult education and training and I consider myself a student for life in the area of self-exploration, biohacking, wellness and ancient practices that have stood the test of time.
I now share these amazing secrets with the world helping others completely transform their lives the same way they've helped transform mine.
